Thank you for joining me! Over the course of my career, I have have been able to explore many facets of theater and music performance and production. I am excited to continue to explore ways to create and participate in theater that is compelling, beautiful and speaks to the human need for connection.
My early love of singing and performing led to a career on Broadway where I performed in The Phantom of the Opera and The Pirate Queen. Originally from Michigan, I am a graduate of Seattle University’s MFA in Arts Leadership program, and hold degrees in Theater and Vocal Performance from Oberlin College and Conservatory. I moved to Seattle in 2014 after spending 18 years in New York City. I am passionate about the inclusion of diverse artists at all stages of theater creation and in critically examining how theater is generated, produced, viewed, and incorporated into the fabric of life. I have appeared onstage locally at the 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre and at Seattle Public Theater as Amelia Earhart in Vanishing Point. A parent, educator, arts advocate, and am a proud member of both Actors’ Equity Association and SAG/AFTRA.
In addition to teaching private lessons in vocal technique, role preparation and acting interpretation, I also teach master classes on auditioning and career prep for musical theater performers.
My training includes a B of Music at Oberlin Conservatory and a BA in Theater from Oberlin College as well as extensive additional training in NYC with Larry Singer of Larry Singer Studios, Craig Carnelia- acting and audition technique, Andrea Green - voice. I completed an MFA in Arts Leadership at Seattle University in 2019.
In lessons we will work on fundamental vocal technique, musical interpretation, song selection, and audition preparation. I teach online and out of my home studio in Maple Leaf Seattle. Please contact me for more information.
My experience in concert and cabaret performance ranges from intimate house concerts tailored for a specific audience, to multiple appearances at NYC cabaret venues such as Don't Tell Mama and the Duplex, as well as a duo cabaret with my twin brother, Matt Hubbard, a professional popular musician in Austin, TX. I have had the great joy of working on numerous readings and recordings of new musicals with a wide variety of composers through Seattle's 5th Avenue Theater, NAMT, BMI and the NYU Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program.
